Beta — the filing pipeline. The compliance filing surface is currently in beta and switched off by default, so you may not see a Compliance entry in your navigation yet, and these pages aren't reachable until it's turned on for your workspace. Filings are generated from provisional forms and rate data while the pipeline is being finalised with a compliance expert — review every figure against the current official forms and schedules before you rely on it or file. Everything below describes what you'll see once the pipeline is turned on.
The Compliance filings page lists your workspace's TTB compliance filings, their reporting period, and where each one is in its lifecycle. Open it from Compliance in the Compliance group of the left-hand navigation.
Review your filings
- In the navigation, choose Compliance. The Compliance filings page opens with the note Your workspace's TTB compliance filings, their reporting period, and lifecycle state.
- The table lists each filing by:
- Period — its reporting period.
- Form — the form the filing covers.
- Authority — TTB (federal), State, or Local.
- Status — one of Draft, Generated, Ready to file, Filed, Accepted, Amended, Superseded, or Rejected.
- To narrow the list, use the status dropdown at the top left (All statuses by default) and choose a single status.
- Choose View on a filing (or select its row) to open its detail.
If you have no filings yet, the page reads No filings yet with the note Generated compliance filings for this workspace will appear here. Filtering to a status that has no matches reads No filings match this status.
Open a filing and download the form
- From the Compliance filings list, choose View on the filing you want.
- The detail view shows the filing's form and status at the top, its reporting period, and a Filing details card listing its Form, Authority, Status, Reporting period, and when it was Created and Updated.
- Under Download:
- If the filing has been generated (it's past Draft), you'll see Download the rendered filing. Each download is authenticated and audited. Choose Download PDF or Download CSV to download it.
- If the filing is still a Draft, download isn't offered yet — the card reads This filing is still a draft. It can be downloaded once it has been generated.
- Use Back to filings to return to the list.
Review and sign off a filing
A Generated filing is still a draft you own: before it becomes a final filing you review it and confirm it as your own. Open the filing (View from the list); below Download you'll see a Review and sign off card with three steps.
- Accept the Compliance Filing Terms. A user with authority to bind your business must accept the current Compliance Filing Terms before the platform will produce a final filing. Choose Accept Filing Terms. This is recorded once per version for your workspace — once accepted, the card shows ✓ Filing Terms accepted for this workspace. (If the terms are updated later, you'll be asked to accept the new version.)
- Review and confirm. Download the draft (above) and check every figure against the current official form. Then read the confirmation statement and tick I have reviewed this draft filing and adopt it as my own filing, as described above.
- Sign off. With the terms accepted and the box ticked, choose Sign off filing. The filing moves to Ready to file, its reporting period is locked so the source data can't drift, and your confirmation (who, when, and the versions you adopted) is recorded to your workspace's audit log.
If the platform can't complete the sign-off — for example the reporting period is already locked by another filing, or the draft isn't fully reconciled — it explains why and leaves the filing as Generated so you can correct the underlying records and try again.
Revoke a sign-off
Signed off too soon? Open a Ready to file filing and use the Revoke sign-off card: enter a reason and choose Revoke sign-off. The filing returns to Draft, the recorded confirmation is cleared, and the reporting period unlocks so you can correct the source data. (Once a filing has been filed with the regulator, corrections go through an amendment instead — revoke only applies before external filing.)
