Export your workspace data
Download a full copy of your workspace's data as a zip of JSON and CSV files.
Beta — data export. Data export is currently in beta and switched off by default, so you may not see an Export data entry in your navigation yet. When it's off, this page isn't reachable. Everything below describes what you'll see once export is turned on for your workspace.
Your data is never locked in. The Export your data page lets you download a full copy of your workspace's data — recipes, batches, inventory, and more — as a zip containing JSON plus a CSV per record type. Open it from Export data in the Settings group of the left-hand navigation.
Running an export needs the workspace-settings permission (Owner or Admin). If you don't have it, Brewstiller shows You don't have permission to export this workspace and asks you to have an Owner or Admin run it.
Request and download an export
An export runs in the background, so you request it and then wait for the download link to appear on the same page.
- In the navigation, choose Export data.
- Under Workspace export, choose Request export. You'll see Export started and the note that Brewstiller is gathering your workspace data, which can take a little while.
- Keep the page open. A Latest export card appears with a status badge that moves from Queued to Building while the archive is prepared.
- When it's ready, the status reads Ready and a Download export (.zip) button appears. Choose it to download the archive. The link is short-lived — its expiry time is shown — so download it promptly.
- If the link expires, or you want a fresh copy later, choose Request a new export to start another.
If an export fails, the card shows Failed with a short reason; request a new one. If Brewstiller can't check the status, the card offers a Retry button.
