Billing and plan management
See your workspace's plan and status, start a free trial, and compare plans.
Beta — billing. The billing screens are currently in beta and switched off by default, so you may not see a Billing entry in your navigation yet. When it's off, these pages aren't reachable. Everything below describes what you'll see once billing is turned on for your workspace.
Billing shows your workspace's current plan and status, and lets you start a free trial or compare plans. Open it from Billing in the Settings group of the left-hand navigation.
Viewing billing is Owner-only. If you don't hold that access, the page shows an error panel rather than the billing details.
See your plan and status
The Billing & subscription page opens on your workspace's current plan and status.
- In the navigation, choose Billing.
- The first card shows your plan name and a status badge — one of Free, On trial,
Active, Past due, Canceled, or Complimentary. Depending on your status it may also list:
- Billing mode — Card (Stripe) or Offline invoice.
- Current period ends — when the current billing period ends.
- Grandfathered pricing since — the date and time your pricing was locked in, if it applies to your workspace. Every date on this page is shown with a time of day, in your own timezone (for example Apr 30, 2026, 06:00 PM) — the exact point in time, not just the day it falls on. If you're on the free plan with no billing set up, the card reads No active billing — you're on the free plan.
- If you're on a trial, a Trial card shows how many days are left, plus the date and time it started and the date and time it ends.
- If your commercial workspace includes Complimentary Hobby Pro, a card notes it's included with your commercial workspace, and the date and time that started.
- A Usage limits card shows whether your usage is within your plan's limits. If any metric is near or over its limit, it's listed with an In buffer or Over limit badge; otherwise it reads All usage is within your plan's limits.
To make a change, choose Manage plan. A note reminds you that card checkout isn't live yet.
Start a free trial
The Manage plan page lets you compare plans and start a free trial. Each workspace gets one free trial.
- On the Billing & subscription page, choose Manage plan. The Manage plan page opens with a note that Paid upgrades are coming soon and that card checkout isn't live yet, so paid plans can't be purchased from here right now — but you can still start a free trial.
- In the plan comparison grid, find the plan you want. Your current plan is marked Current.
- On a paid plan, choose Start free trial. A dialog asks you to confirm a 30-day free trial — no card required, and it won't renew automatically.
- Choose Start free trial in the dialog. On success you'll see Free trial started with the date and time your trial runs until, and a You're on a free trial card confirms it. A trial runs 30 days to the minute, so the time of day is the real deadline — not the end of that day.
A few things Brewstiller will tell you if they apply:
- If this workspace has already used its one free trial, you'll see Trial already used.
- If the workspace already has an active subscription, you'll see Subscription already active.
- If free trials aren't switched on yet, you'll see Free trials aren't available yet — plan changes go live soon.
Use ← Back to billing to return to the status page.
Upgrade to a paid plan
Paid card checkout isn't live yet. On each paid plan the Upgrade button is shown disabled with the note Card checkout isn't live yet. When card checkout is available, upgrading will happen here.
