Manage vendors
Keep a directory of the suppliers you buy ingredients and materials from, with contacts and payment terms.
Vendors are the suppliers you buy ingredients and materials from. Keeping them here means you can attach a supplier to a lot when you receive it, and have their contact and terms on hand when you need to reorder.
Vendors are available on every plan. They live under Vendors in the left-hand navigation, in the Inventory group.
View your vendors
- In the navigation, choose Vendors. The list shows each vendor's Name, Contact, and Email.
- Use the Search vendors by name… box above the table to narrow the list by name.
- Choose the Edit button on a row to open that vendor.
- Choose Load more at the bottom to fetch the next page if there is one.
A new workspace shows No vendors yet with an Add vendor button. A search that matches nothing shows No vendors match your search — clear the search to see everyone again.
Add a vendor
- From the Vendors list, choose Add vendor (top right). The heading changes to Add vendor.
- Under Vendor details, fill in:
- Name (required) — the supplier's name (for example, Country Malt Group).
- Primary contact — the person you deal with.
- Contact email — their email. If you enter one, it has to be a valid address (or leave it blank).
- Contact phone — their phone number.
- Under Terms & notes, optionally add:
- Payment terms — for example, Net 30.
- Notes — any internal notes about this vendor.
- Choose Add vendor to save. A Vendor added. message appears and the vendor opens on its own Edit vendor page, where you can keep refining the details. To go back without saving, choose Back to list.
Edit a vendor
- From the Vendors list, choose Edit on the vendor's row. The heading reads Edit vendor.
- Change any of the fields under Vendor details or Terms & notes.
- Choose Save vendor.
If you have read-only access, the form tells you so (You have read-only access to vendors. An admin can change these.) and an admin needs to make the change. If a vendor can't be found, the page shows Vendor not found — it may have been removed, or you may not have access to it.
